Welcome! I'm Chris, an ecommerce strategist with over 9 years of experience in helping online businesses achieve their full potential. My journey in the ecommerce world began with a passion for understanding what makes some online stores thrive while others struggle. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with hundreds of ecommerce businesses, uncovering the key strategies that drive profitability and sustainability.
My Experience
2015 - Starting from Scratch
Started as a cold-calling appointment setter for a large digital agency in Newcastle. Yes, I was that person calling you just as you were sitting down for lunch. But hey, it taught me the value of persistence!
2016 - Go With the 'Flow'
Transitioned to a smaller Newcastle based agency covering the full sales journey, from identifying opportunities for businesses looking to improve their online profile to onboarding them as clients. This phase was all about matchmaking – finding businesses their perfect digital strategy. This included both a mix of ecommerce as well as lead generation.
2018 - Ecom Specialist Acquisition
My previous agency was acquired by a larger ecommerce specialist, where I stayed for another two years. This is where I dove deep into ecommerce strategy. Think of it as my ecommerce boot camp – minus the push-ups, but with a lot of strategy sessions.
2021 - Large Ecom Platform
Joined one of the UK's largest ecommerce platforms, where I consulted on strategy for new clients. This exposed me to much of the world that lives outside of ecommerce websites but heavily connected, such as ERP, CRM's, 3PL and logistics.
2022 - Deeper into the Numbers
Joined a small local agency in Newcastle that specialises in PPC, Paid Social, and Klaviyo. Here, I learned the value of Lifetime Value and 1st party marketing strategies. Klaviyo's dominance has come as the cost to acquire a customer has gone ever upward, whereas the cost and ability to do more with those who you have information on has become more effective.
